Champagne
Charles Chevalier Brut d'Honneur Champagne
A fine champagne made in the classic tradition of the champagne houses of Ay, principally Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with some Pinot Meunier and matured in coal chalk cellars before release. The vines are mainly planted in shallow salt overlaying chalk which encourages the roots to grow deeply into the chalk, providing them with water and warmth. The Pinot Noir vineyard in Ay has a sunny south facing slope, which enables the grapes to reach excellent maturity.

These are plenty of lovers of the famous yellow label who refuse point blank to drink anything else. A stunning non vintage with great body and roundness it never disappoints. Lingering fruity flavours of apple and pear on the palate create a fresh, harmonious and lively champagne. Grapes from as many as 60 vineyards made up the yellow label blend. Usually the proportion of each grape variety is around 55% Pinot Noir 15% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay.
